We are offering to mentor you, IN-THE-MOMENT, with a child on your caseload so you will never struggle to implement your newly acquired knowledge.
By learning to implement new techniques or programs with one child, you can then apply this knowledge to other children on your caseload.
This is an opportunity for SLPs to have real-time continuing education training and mentoring in practical therapy programs such as Cycles for Phonology, Let's Hear It For R!, or traditional articulation therapy for other sounds.
Why Would this work?
By learning to implement new techniques or programs with one child, the treating therapist can then apply this knowledge to other children on her caseload. These mentoring sessions can occur over a few sessions until the treating therapist feels comfortable with the techniques and the progress the child is making.
This is a form of continuing education, training, and mentoring, provided in real-time, with a child who has a disorder that would directly benefit from the training!
